We spent one night in Amarillo, TX at a little campground called Fort Amarillo RV Resort. It was a nice little campground, tidy and neat. But it didn’t have anything like the remarkable trails and views that we had become used to. This was, however, an amazing stop because we were able to go to Cadillac Ranch before we departed and then we drove down Route 66!!

Cadillac Ranch is an amazing site to behold. There are 10 Cadillacs stuck in the ground, nose down, creating an automotive art display like no other. The public is invited/welcome to spray paint their artistic visions and messages on the Caddies, and the graffiti has extended to the jersey wall and road in front of this amazing roadside monument. We all had a fabulous time creating our own art and admiring the work of those who came before us.

Short stop, short post.
