We left TN yesterday and stopped at Cloudland Canyon on our way to Montgomery, AL. We will be here until Thursday morning. It’s the last day of 2024, and we filled it with an amazing hike and beautiful views. My body is not all that happy with me, 3.5 miles of 670′ going down and 670′ going back up, but the Hemlock Waterfall and the trail there was gorgeous!! Part of our adventure is going to be Chris and I getting back into a more fit body condition. It is easier to do when there are so many wonderful things to see and our home habits are not there to hinder our curiosity!

Totally recommend this state park! (It’s neat and tidy!) It is on top of the mountain. Riding up here was harrowing at times, I kept having visions of us going down the mountain where there were not(!!) guardrails. It is breathtaking, so beautiful. Below us is the town of Trenton, GA. We had dinner there last night at Thatcher’s BBQ & Grill – freaking fabulous!! Go there and enjoy some if you ever have the chance!!
